There are 6 denominations ($2, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100) of notes in circulation across 3 banknotes series (2008, 2015 and the latest series of 2023).

 

The 2023 Banknote Series

The 2023 Series was launched in December 2023, marking the country's first polymer banknotes; the $5 Pa'anga and the $10 Pa'anga banknotes.

5 Pa'anga Banknote
The $5 banknote in the 2023 series features His Majesty King Tupou VI, and the Ha'amonga 'a Maui on the reverse side.
10 Pa'anga Banknote
The $10 banknote in the 2023 series features His Majesty King Tupou VI, and HRH Princess Angelika Lātūfuipeka Tukuʻaho performing the Milolua.
20 Pa'anga Banknote
The $20 banknote in the 2023 series features His Majesty King Tupou VI, and the Reserve Bank's building on the reverse side.
50 Pa'anga Banknote

The 2015 Banknote Series

This series was launched in 2015 in celebration of the Coronation of their Majesties, King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u Tuku'aho.

The 2015 Coin Series

Another significant change in the launching of the 2015 Currency Series, is the launching of the new coins, replacing all coins prior to 2015. This change also see the 1 pa'anga banknote in the 2008 Banknote Series being replace by the 1 Pa'anga coin.

50 Seniti Coin
The 50 seniti coin in the 2015 series features His Majesty King Tupou VI, and the Milolua on the reverse side.
20 Seniti Coin
The 20 seniti coin in the 2015 series features His Majesty King Tupou VI, and the Kalia on the reverse side.
10 Seniti Coin

This series was launched in 2008 in celebration of the Coronation of His Majesty, King George Tupou V.
