Public Notice: Public Warning on Facebook Page Imposter and Scams
The National Reserve Bank of Tonga has been made aware of a fraudulent Facebook page named “Ngaue ‘a e IMF mo e Ngaahi Pangike ‘a Tonga – No ta’e totongi fakafoki,” ( https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61590426311331 ) which falsely uses the National Reserve Bank of Tonga logo.
This page is not affiliated with the National Reserve Bank of Tonga and is a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and engage in fraudulent activities.
We strongly urge individuals not to contact or make any payments through this page, and to refrain from sharing any personal or financial information. The National Reserve Bank of Tonga does not request money or payments from members of the public.
We remind the public that the official Facebook Page for the National Reserve Bank of Tonga is named “National Reserve Bank of Tonga” as well as the official website https://www.reservebank.to .
